About the role
Tata Elxsi is hiring an RDK Security Developer to build and enhance security features for RDK-B/RDK-V platforms. The role sits within embedded Linux device security for media-domain technologies, covering secure software development, vulnerability remediation, and device security. The developer will design RDK security solutions, maintain features such as Secure Boot, TLS/SSL and secure firmware upgrades, remediate CVEs, and collaborate with platform, networking, and cloud teams.
What you will do
- Design and implement security solutions for RDK-based devices.
- Develop and maintain security features such as Secure Boot, TLS/SSL, certificate management, authentication, authorization, and secure firmware upgrades.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and remediate security vulnerabilities and CVEs.
- Perform security code reviews and ensure secure coding practices.
- Support penetration testing, security assessments, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with platform, networking, and cloud teams to enhance device security.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Strong experience in Embedded C/C++ and Linux development.
- Good understanding of RDK-B/RDK-V architecture.
- Experience with OpenSSL, PKI, TLS/SSL, cryptography, and key management.
- Knowledge of Secure Boot, firmware signing, and device authentication.
- Familiarity with Yocto/BitBake, Git, and Linux debugging tools.
- Understanding of security vulnerabilities, CVEs, and secure coding practices.
