About the role
The role sits within Siemens' Business Segment organization, where Project Management is a core function supporting the success of the portfolio and business in industry, power distribution and final distribution applications. The team drives Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Localization Projects, which are key drivers of the Segment's success. This position leads a team of six Project Managers, overseeing project resources, budgets, timelines, cost, risk management and reporting across international project teams.
What you will do
- Live, show and emphasize the project ownership mindset in your team
- Leading your team of 6 Project Managers to ensure the overall Project Management tasks
- Planning and tracking of resources, investment, timeline and cost as well as measures for productivity improvement.
- Leading professionally international project teams. In doing so ensuring compliance with Siemens-internal processes and conducting risk management.
- Sorting of requirements, defining of work packages for the PLM team members and coordinating of cooperation within the project team as well as with Segment-external partners.
- Structured preparing of assigned topics, preparing of management decisions, taking technical and commercial decisions within the project order.
- Monitor all projects together with your Project Managers to recognize deviations and risks at an early stage and define the right mitigation measures
- Project reporting within the Segment and/or Steering Committee.
- Change Management to successfully establish the role of Project Manager in the Segment organization.
- The Head of Project Management is responsible for ensuring the overall project KPIs such as R&D Budget, Investment Budget, Product Performance, Product Cost, Quality and Timeline for assigned projects.
