About the role
Siemens Smart Infrastructure delivers grid control and automation, low- and medium-voltage power distribution and switching, and building automation, fire safety and energy solutions. This role sits within the Air Insulated Switchgear manufacturing area, planning and scheduling Air Insulated Medium Voltage Panels and indoor and outdoor circuit breakers. The production planning and control professional will handle production scheduling, raw material requirement estimation, cross-functional coordination with procurement, logistics, production and quality control, and KPI reporting to ensure efficient operations and timely delivery.
What you will do
- Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.
- Develop and review production plan with Managers for approval.
- Estimate needs for raw materials and give timely inputs to procurement teams.
- Oversee the production process, monitoring progress against schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines.
- Liaise with various departments, including logistics, procurement, production, and quality control, to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Track production quantities, analyze data, and report KPIs
- Support inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems. (SAP preferred).
- Experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Kanban, or similar systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of medium voltage products – air insulated panels, circuit breakers, manufacturing processes, inventory management, and logistics.
