About the role
The Geo team builds Google Maps, Earth, Street View, and Google Maps Platform, focused on creating the most accurate, comprehensive, and useful maps for users and developers. User-Generated Content (UGC) products let Google Maps users share reviews, ratings, photos, videos, questions and answers, and place attributes with others. As Product Manager, the role partners with engineering and analyst teams to apply AI/ML models, user and place understanding, and platform capabilities to publish high-quality content on addresses, locations, landmarks, and gates across surfaces and Generative AI experiences.
What you will do
- Define the product idea, roadmaps, and success metrics for destinations and arrivals workstream, using data analysis and evaluations to inform both high-level strategy and day-to-day decisions.
- Provide cross-functional leadership to a virtual team spanning engineering, operations, analytics, User Experience (UX), policy, legal, Public Relation (PR), privacy, and compliance across multiple product areas (e.g., Geo, Core, Trust and Safety, Commerce).
- Rally stakeholders behind a common idea, backed by articulate and confident communication.
- Collaborate effectively with machine learning, platform, and UGC experiences teams to build scalable solutions.
Skills used in this role
Preferred qualifications
- 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
- 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, 0 to 1, etc.).
- Experience in AI/ML product management.
- Experience with data analysis.
