About the role
Fastly's edge cloud platform enables customers to create great digital experiences quickly, securely, and reliably by processing, serving, and securing applications as close to their end-users as possible at the edge of the Internet. The company is growing its Indirect Procurement team and is hiring a detail-oriented Procurement Operations Specialist. This role serves as the operational backbone of the purchasing process — managing purchase requests in Coupa, owning contract execution via DocuSign, and safeguarding procurement data integrity — while working India hours to prepare and hand off work to US-based negotiators and reviewers.
What you will do
- Review every incoming Indirect Purchase Request (PR) in Coupa for completeness and accuracy.
- Return or reject PRs that lack required documentation, are coded incorrectly, or carry payment terms that don't match the negotiated agreement.
- Assign approved, "ready-to-negotiate" PRs to the appropriate US negotiator via the Coupa Assignee field.
- Partner with the Procurement Risk Coordinator, also based in Pune, to hand off any request that needs cross-functional review.
- Act as first approver for New Supplier Requests, confirming each request is complete and correctly documented.
- Flag potential duplicate or redundant suppliers (for example, new merchandise suppliers) to the Procurement Managers for review before onboarding begins.
- Partner with the Accounts Payable team to coordinate collection of supplier onboarding documents.
- Own the contract signature process for all Indirect purchases by confirming correct documents, signatories, and routing.
- Prepare and send DocuSign envelopes, ensuring every field is correctly tagged and the signature policy is followed.
- Ensure all fully executed agreements are filed correctly and that key metadata (costs, term dates, notice periods) is captured in the contract tracking system.
- Log "out-of-process" procurement events in the shared team tracker to support reporting and continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain purchasing documentation and internal process communications.
- Delight internal customers and business partners through excellent, responsive service.

- An agile, self-starting mindset that thrives in a fast-paced environment and adjusts quickly to the changing priorities of a growth company.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent relationship-building skills that foster partnerships across departments, levels, time zones, and geographies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication including outreach to global suppliers and the confidence to respectfully hold internal stakeholders to process.
- Strong time- and project-management skills.
- Proficiency with Excel and Google Sheets.
- A sense of curiosity and a desire to learn every day.
