About the role
Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) is Amazon's service for worldwide sellers, offering access to Amazon's global distribution network as a service; the team builds and operates platforms that let sellers in 135 countries store, ship, and manage billions of products. The organization invests in seller tools spanning inventory management, payment processing, shipment tracking, reporting, and cross-border commerce, alongside the Prime membership program. As a Principal Technical Program Manager, this role leads broad cross-organization programs from early stages through release, working with product managers, engineering managers, scientists, and engineers on next-generation seller platforms and influencing product, technical roadmap, and architecture decisions.
What you will do
- Lead broad, cross-organizational programs from strategy definition through delivery, owning the technology roadmap for seller-facing platforms and driving alignment across product, engineering, and science teams.
- Define and decompose complex technical problems into clear solutions, assessing risk, driving clarity, and creating the right sense of urgency to keep programs on track.
- Influence the organization's product and technical architecture by applying deep system knowledge, identifying gaps across services and workflows, and proposing improvements that reduce repeated effort year over year.
- Partner with senior leadership to communicate trade-offs, present options, and drive decisions — managing cross-functional stakeholder alignment and escalating with strong judgment when necessary.
- Amplify your impact by mentoring other technical program managers, driving adoption of program management best practices, and contributing to the broader technical community.
