About the role
Dell Technologies' IT Software Engineer team turns business requirements into technology solutions by designing, coding, testing and debugging applications, and documenting procedures while seeking quality improvements. The Principal Software Engineer role designs and implements critical services, leads complex refactors, and champions quality. The engineer collaborates across teams to resolve dependencies and improve performance, reliability, API quality, test automation, and CI/CD practices.
What you will do
- Own service design, data contracts, and API quality with backward compatibility.
- Improve test automation, code coverage, and release health metrics.
- Optimize runtime performance and troubleshoot production incidents.
- Provide technical leadership through pairing, reviews, and knowledge sharing.
