About the role
The Customer Anecdote Miner (CAM) Platform processes over 5 billion customer interactions annually, helping Amazon teams understand and act on customer feedback at scale using evolving LLM technology. The team builds and operates a platform that transforms months of technical work into minutes, spanning engineering, applied science, design, and business partners. This Principal Product Manager - Technical role owns a multi-year product vision and roadmap, drives cross-organizational alignment, and works with ML scientists and engineers to define and launch platform features.
What you will do
- Own and drive a multi-year product vision and strategic roadmap, setting direction in ambiguous spaces where the problem, opportunity, and strategy may not yet be defined.
- Lead large, complex product initiatives end-to-end with independence — from concept through launch, scale, and iteration — making high-judgment trade-off decisions with long-term platform and business implications.
- Partner as a technical peer with engineering, applied science, and design teams to evaluate architecture proposals, identify trade-offs others may miss, and ensure solutions are extensible, scalable, and aligned with strategic goals.
- Drive alignment across multiple organizations by influencing senior stakeholders, resolving prioritization conflicts, and building strategic partnerships that shape investment decisions and shared objectives.
- Design experimentation frameworks and define success metrics that distinguish between output and outcome measures, using data, customer research, and emerging technologies including generative AI to accelerate learning and validate product hypotheses.
- Working closely with Amazon teams to understand their feedback analysis needs, and onboarding them as users of CAM
- Defining platform features and requirements for upcoming releases
- Collaborating with ML Scientists and Engineers to build and optimize our offerings
- Analysing platform metrics to identify performance optimization opportunities
- Contributing to technical design reviews for new features
- Reviewing customer feedback and usage patterns to guide product evolution
