About the role
Okta builds trusted, neutral identity infrastructure that secures AI and human identities for organizations. The global People Operations team owns the employee lifecycle, HR technology, compliance, and employee experience. This role owns Workday data integrity and global background verification compliance, supports HR ticketing through ServiceNow, and partners with HRBPs and external vendors across the hire-to-retire journey.
What you will do
- Lifecycle & Data Guardian: Own the integrity of employee data throughout the entire lifecycle within Workday, ensuring absolute accuracy.
- Risk & Compliance Lead: Act as the primary gatekeeper for global compliance by managing and executing robust background verification (BGC) processes.
- Operational Excellence Partner: Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees, HRBPs, and external vendors to streamline workflows.
- Workday Data Management: Execute complex global data changes (transfers, promotions, comp updates, terminations) and manage mass uploads using Workday EIBs.
- End-to-End BGC Ownership: Partner with external vendors to trigger, track, and review comprehensive background checks. Safely escalate and resolve discrepancies.
- Lifecycle Management: Support crucial milestones across the employee journey—from seamless onboarding documentation to compliant offboarding.
- Ticketing Support: Resolve HR service requests efficiently through ServiceNow (SNOW) while maintaining strict SLA adherence.
- Zero-Error Data Quality: Achieve and sustain a >99% accuracy rate in data entries and EIB uploads within Workday.
- 100% Compliance Audits: Ensure 100% of active personnel files have fully completed, verified background check clearances within required timelines.
- SLA & TAT Optimization: Consistently hit and exceed established turnaround times for resolving HR tickets and onboarding data setup.
- Vendor Efficiency: Optimize internal workflows to reduce the average cycle time for background check completions.
