About the role
Qualcomm's Hardware Engineering Group plans, designs, optimizes, verifies, and tests electronic systems, circuits, and digital/analog/RF/optical systems that launch cutting-edge products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet performance requirements. This role is focused on physical design (PD) place-and-route (PNR) and static timing analysis (STA) for low-power, multi-voltage designs. The engineer will drive floorplanning, placement, CTS methodology, and power optimization using Innovus and FC, while leading a team and remaining hands-on.

What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience. OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
- 8+ years of experience in PD PNR and STA
- Strong background in Floorplan, placement, CTS methodology and optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of UPF and multi-voltage designs
- Experience in low power designs and power optimizing techniques.
- Good scripting knowledge and basic knowledge in using AI flows.
- At least 2 years of experience leading a team
- Good knowledge in both Innovus and FC tools and should be open for using any tool as part of workflow .
- Should be open for hands on work along with leading a team.
