About the role
This role focuses on the design and development of complex, multi-layer PCBs including high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal boards. The engineer collaborates with electrical, mechanical, and software teams, performs signal/power integrity and thermal analysis, and ensures designs meet DFM/DFA and IPC standards. The position also mentors junior engineers and interfaces with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
What you will do
- Design and development of complex, multi-layer PCBs, including high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal boards.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to define PCB design requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Create and manage schematic captures, component footprints, and PCB layouts using industry-standard tools such as Mentor Graphics, Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro and CR8000Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis to ensure the robustness and reliability of the designs.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Ensure that all designs adhere to Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles and comply with relevant IPC standards.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
- Interface with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure a smooth manufacturing process.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our design processes and standards.
