About the role
The role sits in a Bosch engineering team working on multicore software for state-of-the-art micro-controller based Engine Control Units (ECUs) and Vehicle Control Units (VCUs). The work covers dynamic (runtime) aspects of embedded software, CPU resource optimisation and architecture concepts for multicore controllers. The expert will also train projects on multicore and CPU resource management concepts, working with RTOS, AUTOSAR and a range of embedded debug and measurement tools.
What you will do
- Development of solutions for an optimal multicore software considering the dynamic (runtime) aspects of software for the State-of-the-art micro-controller based Engine Control Units (ECUs) and Vehicle Control Units (VCUs)
- Derive optimisation approaches from CPU resources point of view for multicore controllers
- Derive Dynamic Architecture concepts for ECU start-up/shutdown sequence, optimal task distribution, recommendation for Task, ISR priorities, ISR/ lock clearance
- Offer training to projects on multicore and CPU resource management concepts
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Embedded C programming skills
- Good know-how on Python programming
- Working knowledge on embedded system: RTOS, Microcontrollers and peripherals
- Hands-on and deep knowhow on multi-core core concepts and CPU resource management
- Good knowledge on compilers, linkers, memory layout and the workflow involved
- Hands on debugging skills with tools like PLS UDE, Lauterbach, Trace32, etc.
- Hands on experience with tools like Vector Canalyzer, Cancase, ETAS INCA etc.
- Knowledge on Infineon TriCore, ST ARM based controllers
- Basic understanding of Autosar and Adaptive Autosar
- Good know-how on software development life cycle process
- BE/B.Tech in Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation /Telecommunication/ Computer Science
