About the role
This role sits with Mahindra Group's Foundry Production Unit, covering the Moulding and Sand Plant operations in Mumbai. The domain is automotive and manufacturing foundry work, spanning induction furnace melting, moulding, core making, fettling and casting quality. The manager will control melting and moulding processes, refractory and energy performance, and cost and resource optimization while applying quality systems such as TS 16949, TPM, Lean and 5S.

- Education Qualification Diploma; Bachelor of Engineering; Diploma in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical
- General Experience 4-6 Years of relevant work experience
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of Foundry Technology Processes.
- Knowledge of Metallurgy, Various C.I./ S. G. I Grades its Micro structures etc.
- Expert Knowledge about Spectrometer , Induction furnace and it's auxiliary Equipments like cooling / Water circulations etc. can independently manage and control.
- Expert knowledge about Induction Furnace melting operations / Induction furnaces .Press Pour , Refractories / Monitoring of refractory condition , analysis and necessary measures.
- Knowledge of preceding and subsequent process like Core making, Sand Plant, Molding, HPML, Fettling and Rejection etc.
- Knowledge of 7QC tools, Daily Work management, TPM ,Lean manufacturing, ISO, TS 16949, 5S, OHSAS18001. etc.
- Knowledge of casting defects and analysis and its remedy.
- Knowledge of DCP, PPAP, APQP
- Knowledge of Revenue cost elements and it’s measures to control it.
- Knowledge about Energy audit and energy conservation techniques.
- Knowledge about resource planning and resource optimization.
