About the role
Everpure builds enterprise data storage systems used by customers around the world, and has grown from storage pioneer into a data platform. The engineering team designs, builds and operates software for enterprise products, applying distributed-systems principles and modern CI/CD practices. This role is for a Staff Software Engineer who will own major systems and features end to end, from problem definition and design through implementation, testing, release and production support, working primarily from the Bangalore office.
What you will do
- Design, build, test, and operate software systems for enterprise products.
- Own major features and systems end to end, from problem definition and design to production support.
- Solve complex problems with a practical, data-informed approach; evaluate trade-offs in performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Build well-tested software using C++, Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Contribute to system architecture and apply distributed-systems principles where appropriate.
- Use and improve modern CI/CD pipelines, testing, and release practices.
- Work with engineering partners to deliver dependable software and resolve issues across system boundaries.
- Share technical knowledge through design discussions, code reviews, and mentoring.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 8–14 years of industry experience in software engineering, preferably in enterprise software.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and proficiency in at least one of C++, Python, or Go.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Understanding of distributed systems and the trade-offs involved in building reliable services or products.
- Experience owning software through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
- Exposure to cloud platforms or cloud-based systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
