About the role
The FlashArray team at Everpure builds a high-performance, highly available storage array portfolio for mission-critical applications, with most of the engineering team focused on software. The team also extends its capabilities to public cloud environments with CloudSnap and Cloud Block Store for AWS. This role designs and ships high-reliability systems software features, owning work end to end in collaboration with peers.
What you will do
- Design & Implement: Create innovative algorithms and technologies for high-performance systems targeting six-nines (99.9999%) reliability.
- End-to-End Ownership: Lead feature innovation from initial concept through to shipped product.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges through persistent problem-solving and technical insight.
- Collaborate & Deliver: Partner closely with smart, collaborative peers to deliver features that directly enhance customer experience and satisfaction.
- Learn & Grow: Continuously expand domain expertise in systems software within a supportive, knowledge-sharing environment.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Software Development Experience: 3+ years of professional development experience using C, C++, Python, Go, Java, or related programming languages. (Candidates with less than 1 year of experience are encouraged to explore University opportunities on our careers page).
- Systems Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience or coursework in systems software domains such as Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, Linux Kernel, Database Internals, Hypervisors, Containers, or Compiler Optimization.
- Collaborative Mindset: Strong design sensibility with a proven track record of working effectively in a team-oriented, open-office environment.
- Educational Background: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related technical field; advanced degrees (MS/PhD) are a plus.
