This Manufacturing Process Excellence / MES Executive role sits within manufacturing operations at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar (Aurangabad) and focuses on digital manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and smart factory initiatives. The role develops Power BI/Power Platform dashboards and automation, supports Digital Twin and simulation work, and helps integrate MES/MOM, ERP/SAP and shopfloor systems to improve productivity, quality and traceability.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement digital solutions to improve manufacturing productivity, quality, traceability, and process visibility.
  • Use Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, Lists, and Forms to digitize shopfloor processes and reporting.
  • Develop dashboards and automated reports for real-time monitoring of manufacturing KPIs.
  • Automate data collection, analysis, and reporting to reduce manual effort and improve data accuracy.
  • Convert manufacturing data into actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Understand basic concepts of Industry 4.0, Smart Manufacturing, Connected Factory, and Digital Shopfloor.
  • Identify opportunities to digitize manual manufacturing processes and improve process visibility.
  • Understand and apply IoT/IIoT, sensors, data acquisition, and machine connectivity concepts.
  • Develop basic real-time monitoring, dashboards, alerts, and digital KPI systems.
  • Understand PLC, HMI, SCADA, MES/MOM, ERP/SAP, and their role in connected manufacturing.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, digital work instructions, paperless processes, and smart workstations.
  • Support implementation of AGV/AMR, digital power tools, smart sensors, vision systems, and connected equipment.
  • Use manufacturing data to identify losses, bottlenecks, downtime, productivity gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support integration of Lean Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 to achieve measurable business improvements.
  • Maintain focus on data accuracy, cybersecurity, user adoption, and sustainability while implementing digital solutions.
  • Develop and use Digital Twin and simulation models for manufacturing processes.
  • Perform process, layout, capacity, material-flow, and bottleneck simulations.
  • Analyze operator movement, process flow, capacity constraints, and automation opportunities using simulation tools.
  • Support virtual validation of new processes, layouts, and manufacturing concepts.
  • Support integration of MES/MOM, ERP/SAP, IoT, and shopfloor systems.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, Quality, and external technology partners.
  • Support projects from concept, feasibility, and business case through FAT, SAT, commissioning, and handover.
  • Establish KPIs to monitor the effectiveness and benefits of digital and automation initiatives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities for digital transformation and automation.
  • Develop standards, guidelines, technical documentation, and training for digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making and digital ways of working across manufacturing.
  • Share best practices and build digital manufacturing capabilities within the organization.

What the employer is looking for

  • Strong understanding of Industry 4.0, Digital Manufacturing, Digital Twin, Digital Shopfloor and Smart Factory concepts.

  • You are a B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • You have 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, automation, digital manufacturing, or Industry 4.0.
  • Experience in switchgear, electrical equipment, heavy engineering, or discrete manufacturing is preferred.
  • You have hands-on experience with Power BI / Power Platform and manufacturing data analytics.
  • You have good working knowledge of MS Office and digital manufacturing tools.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
