About the role
Mahindra's international operations in Algeria require a quality professional to drive quality excellence across suppliers, manufacturing processes, and final product performance. The role covers supplier quality assurance and development, manufacturing quality systems for aggregate and vehicle assembly, and product quality assurance including warranty reduction. It involves APQP, PPAP, FMEA, audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement, with extensive travel and long-term deputation to Algeria.
What you will do
- Drive supplier quality assurance, supplier development and supplier performance improvement.
- Ensure robust manufacturing quality systems across aggregate and vehicle assembly operations.
- Lead product quality assurance activities, including final tractor quality, customer complaints and warranty reduction.
- Drive APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, Process Audits and Product Audits.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier, manufacturing and field quality issues.
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes and localization initiatives.
- Establish and strengthen quality systems and governance at Algeria operations.
- Collaborate with sourcing, engineering, manufacturing and service teams to improve quality performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect reduction, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- 15-20 years of quality experience in Automotive, Tractor, Farm Equipment, Construction Equipment or related manufacturing industries.
- Strong experience in Supplier Quality for commodities such as castings, forgings, sheet metal, machined parts or aggregates.
- Hands-on exposure to Manufacturing Quality in Engine, Transmission, Hydraulic or Vehicle Assembly operations.
- Experience in Product Quality Assurance , customer quality and warranty management.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D and Quality Systems.
- Willingness to work extensively from Algeria on long-term deputation assignments.
