About the role
The role sits within Mahindra's Chakan manufacturing operations, supporting the B&T commodity for Chakan-built models, including mechanism components such as power windows, door locks, wiper motors, actuators and sunroofs. It involves field and internal concern resolution, root cause analysis using QC story and 8D methodology, and MIS reporting for higher management. The manager works cross-functionally with manufacturing, supplier quality and design to close field and internal concerns within time targets.
What you will do
- Will be responsible for resolving field concerns related to Chakan models B&T .
- Will be responsible for resolving internal concerns related to Chakan models B&T
- Data analysis
- Daily monitoring of field complaints & effectivity of actions
- Reduction in field concerns by correct root cause analysis & speedy implementation of corrective measure to meet organisation targets
- Genearte Field concern MIS & publish report, PPT for higher management
- Carry out joint investigations in field to arrive at root cause
- Take appropriate actions in association with manufacturing, supplier quality & design & for closure of field & internal concerns
- Speedy & time bound closure of emerging concerns & immobilisation concerns

- Good understanding on parts E.g Power window , Door lock , Windshield washer motor , Wiper motor , Actuators , Setas , sunroof ORVM etc.
- Good understanding on vehicle level interface of Mechanism componenets with each other.
- Good understanding on manufacturing process of Mecahnism parts
- Systematic root cause analysis of Failures by QC story approach , 8D methodology Should be able to demonstrate problem solving ability using problem solving tools.
- Conversant with shinin DOE technique, preparation of Fault Tree for Analysis,Ishikawa diagram, statistical tools
- Knowledge of Basic 7 QC & Advance QC Tools.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, process flow diagrams, control plans etc.
- Good at data management & interpretation of data to draw meaningful conclusions
- Willing to work with own hands
- Willing to travel across country at short notice for joint investigations
- Good at Excel & Power point presentations.
- BIW , Trim parts knowledge will be added advantage.
