About the role
Siemens Energy India's Grid Solutions team provides AIS (up to 800 kV), GIS (up to 420 kV), power transformers, reactors and traction transformers, along with EPC for high and extra high voltage projects using FACTS and HVDC VSC technology and lifecycle services for HV/EHV assets. The role leads end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects and covers Project Procurement Management of the substation AIS & GIS business, including supplier market analysis and procurement processes.
What you will do
- Lead end-to-end execution of 220 kV GIS/AIS substation projects, ensuring safe, profitable and on-time delivery in compliance with customer, contractual, quality and EHS requirements.

What the employer is looking for
- 13-16 years of progressive experience in SCM with large multinational Engineering / 5-7 years as an expert in the Project Procurement Management domain.
- Should have a good understanding of direct supply market structure, demand supply dynamics, and supplier economics.
- Domain hands on experience for 5 to 7 yrs in Electrical equipment project management, engineering or manufacturing is highly desired.
- Should have a good understanding of Project Procurement Management of Substation AIS & GIS Business.
- Experience of having set up structure, systems and processes in Procurement areas.
- External orientation with extensive contacts in the supply industry, particularly in India.
- B.E / B.Tech in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical); Post graduation in Engineering / Operations / Finance (Preferable)
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in EHV Switchgear, Circuit Breakers or power transmission equipment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in service operation.
- Expertise in installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage equipment.
- Sound understanding of control circuits, schematic drawings, SLDs, interlocking logic and substation operations.
- Knowledge of condition monitoring, diagnostic testing and reliability improvement techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency in Power BI, MS Excel and service management tools.
- Excellent communication, customer handling and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience handling domestic and international service assignments.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India and overseas for customer support.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
