About the role
The role leads virtual development and simulation for forged and cast components across powertrain, chassis, suspension, structural, and safety systems. It focuses on defect-free manufacturing, process optimization, cost reduction, and first-time-right design through advanced simulation. The manager will establish simulation methodologies and standards and work with product design, tooling, manufacturing engineering, and vendors.
What you will do
- Lead virtual development and simulation activities for forged and cast components across powertrain, chassis, suspension, structural, and safety systems.
- Drive defect-free manufacturing, process optimization, and cost reduction through advanced simulation technologies.
- Ensure First time Right Design from manufacturing point of view with Complete ownership.
- Lead all forging and casting simulation activities.
- Establish simulation methodologies and standards.
- Drive simulation-based design validation and optimization
- Establish engineering standards, best practices, and design guidelines.
- Support early concept assessments to improve manufacturability.
- Work closely with Product Design, Tooling, Manufacturing Engineering, and Vendors.
- Participate in Design Reviews and Gate Reviews.
- Support tooling tryout and production issue resolution.
- Drive lessons learned deployment across programs.
- Establish simulation capability roadmap.
- Drive process automation and digital engineering initiatives.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Experience Engineering in mechanical 8 to 12 years
- Autoform/ any sheet metal forming simulation software.
- Hands-on Experience in automotive.
- Good attitude and communication skills
- Ability to deliver under pressure

- B tech Mechanical + M tech preferred
