About the role
The role sits within Mahindra's build/validation function at the Cheyyar manufacturing location, focused on performance, suitability and reliability testing of automotive implements (farm implements) for Indian and global markets. The team runs comparative trials against competitor products, works with R&D and Program Management, and coordinates with government testing institutes for certification. This manager will lead the testing team, plan and schedule testing resources, create DVPs, issue product acceptance verdicts, and drive design and product improvements based on test data.
What you will do
- Performance, suitability and Reliability testing of Automotive Implements for Indian and other global markets
- Comparative performance trials with Competitor's products
- Manage Testing Team, Test planning and scheduling, resource planning for testing
- Give Testing verdict for product acceptance / rejection based on test data
- Create DVP's in line with product requirements and RWUP
- Co-ordinate with RandD and Program Management for meeting the project timelines
- Work on innovative / alternate methods of testing to optimize testing time and cost
- Co-ordinate with various government testing institutes for testing and certification of farm implements
- Suggest Design changes , product improvements based on testing data
