About the role
IBM Enterprise Operations supports global eDiscovery and legal data operations for litigation, investigations, regulatory matters, and compliance initiatives. The team works across legal technology platforms, advanced analytics, workflow automation, data processing, and AI-enabled review tools. This role acts as the technical lead for platform administration, eDiscovery technology adoption, legal AI enablement, data pipelines, and technical consulting with legal and technology stakeholders.
What you will do
- Provide technical support for eDiscovery applications and coordinate issue resolution with external vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), knowledge base articles, user guides, and troubleshooting resources.
- Ensure platform configurations and workflows comply with SOPs, governance requirements, and security controls.
- Support internal users with questions regarding the use of eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity, RelativityOne, Reveal, Everlaw, Nuix, Disco, Microsoft Purview, and other approved legal technology platforms.
- Configure and maintain workspaces, security groups, user permissions, coding layouts, workflows, batching strategies, searches, and review environments as needed.
- Support the implementation and operationalization of generative AI technologies, large language models (LLMs), intelligent document review, summarization, and legal analytics solutions.
- Develop validation methodologies, quality assurance processes, and defensibility standards for AI-assisted review workflows.
- Conduct pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate and benchmark emerging eDiscovery technologies and analytics capabilities.
- Measure and analyze adoption, performance, accuracy, recall, precision, and performance metrics to support AI governance and technology investment decisions.
- Partner with legal and technology stakeholders to identify practical use cases for AI across the eDiscovery lifecycle.
- Support the execution of advanced analytics workflows including TAR, Continuous Active Learning (CAL), predictive coding, clustering, conceptual analytics, communication analysis, near-duplicate identification, email threading, and Early Case Assessment.
- Develop scalable automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
- Leverage APIs, scripting languages, workflow orchestration tools, low-code platforms, and system integrations to streamline legal operations processes.
- Support integrations between eDiscovery platforms, Microsoft 365, Google Vault, Purview, legal hold technologies, and enterprise data sources.
- Participate in technology modernization initiatives including platform migrations, process redesign initiatives, and AI-enabled transformation programs.
- Contribute technical requirements for solution designs and testing strategies for new legal technology implementations.
- Promote best practices related to automation, monitoring, workflow standardization, and continuous improvement.
- Support ingestion and processing of structured, unstructured, cloud, mobile, collaboration, and forensic data sources.
- Assist in the design and optimization of data pipelines for legal data collection, processing, review, and production activities.
- Troubleshoot complex data issues related to metadata, processing exceptions, file format inconsistencies, and system interoperability.
- Support API integrations and secure data exchange processes between legal technology platforms and enterprise systems.
- Work with data models, large-scale datasets, and analytics workflows to ensure accurate and consistent processing and reporting outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to legal teams regarding analytics approaches and eDiscovery technology solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to attorneys, investigators, compliance teams, and business stakeholders.
- Gather stakeholder requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions and platform configurations.
- Deliver technical training, demonstrations, workshops, and user enablement programs.
- Support vendor evaluations, performance assessments, testing, and implementation support.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend proactive solutions to improve service quality, user experience, and platform performance.
- Support the collection and reporting of operational metrics, adoption statistics, ROI measurements, and workflow efficiency indicators.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on scalability, standardization, service excellence, and cost reduction.
- Remain current on legal technology trends, AI developments, industry best practices, and evolving regulatory requirements.
Skills used in this role

- 4–6 years of experience in eDiscovery technology, litigation support, or legal technology.
- Advanced proficiency with Relativity, Reveal, Everlaw, Nuix, or comparable platforms.
- Experience with TAR, CAL, active learning, and AI-assisted review workflows.
- Experience with automation, APIs, system integrations, and workflow orchestration.
- Strong experience with Technology Assisted Review (TAR), Continuous Active Learning (CAL), predictive coding, and AI-assisted review workflows.
- Experience configuring review platforms, managing data processing projects, and executing productions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience implementing generative AI solutions.
- Experience with scripting, automation, or low-code platforms.
Preferred qualifications
- Microsoft Purview eDiscovery Premium experience.
- ACEDS certification or equivalent.
- Knowledge of GDPR and cross-border privacy requirements.
- Experience with enterprise archiving and information governance programs.
- Familiarity with SQL, data analytics, reporting tools, or scripting.
