About the role
Jio is inviting applications for the role of Security Engineer - L3 within its security engineering function. The role works across on-premises, private, public and hybrid cloud environments, covering security tooling such as firewalls, anti-virus, EDR, proxy servers and AAA solutions. The engineer will configure and support security tools, review cloud security roadmaps, implement security strategies, and translate customer security requirements into customized solutions.
What you will do
- Configuring and supporting security tools, such as firewalls, anti-virus and EDR software.
- Review and management of technical security roadmaps related to cloud security.
- Providing solutions and implementing effective security strategies on cloud and on-premises environments.
- Providing support and documentation for all activities related to security architecture.
- Understanding customer security requirements and supporting the delivery of customized solutions.

- Education: BE/ Btech/MCA
- Experience: 08-15yrs
- Hands-on experience in cloud networking and security policy configuration.
- Knowledge of supporting network technologies such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, IPS/IDS and WAF.
- Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware ESX, Docker and containers.
- Knowledge of SNMP, SSL and TLS protocols and their functioning.
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot technologies in large-scale environments, with knowledge of IP/TCP stream diagnostic tools such as Wireshark.
- Working experience in public, private and hybrid cloud solutions and their best practices.
- Strong understanding of Unified Compliance Framework and cyber drills.
- Knowledge of cloud security concepts and technologies across Azure, GCP and AWS.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity and risk management practices.
- 3+ years of full-time IT experience in the administration and support of on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Basic understanding of Windows and Unix administration.
- Hands-on experience managing proxy server tools such as Forcepoint and Cisco WSA.
- Demonstrable experience deploying proxy server tools such as Forcepoint and Cisco WSA.
- Hands-on experience with 802.1X, RADIUS and TACACS protocols to achieve AAA.
- Demonstrable experience deploying AAA tools such as Cisco ISE.
- Experience with device administration, policy configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco ISE.
- Experience with MFA systems and RADIUS servers.
- Good knowledge of different security maturity model assessments and security resilience.
