About the role

Nokia's production operations function is responsible for manufacturing operations, production process optimization, and efficient resource utilization to deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations. The role combines people leadership, operational excellence, and engineering expertise within a global manufacturing and high-volume production environment. This lead position drives continuous improvement initiatives, oversees day-to-day production activities, leads engineering and operational projects, and contributes to strategic decision-making.

What you will do

  • Lead and manage day-to-day production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets are achieved.
  • Plan and optimize workforce allocation, shift operations, and resource utilization to meet business and customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational performance.
  • Analyze production metrics, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to resolve operational challenges.
  • Develop and implement production processes, policies, and best practices to support business objectives.
  • Lead engineering and operational projects, ensuring successful execution within scope, quality, and timeline expectations.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

What the employer is looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 18 plus years of proven experience in production management, manufacturing operations, or industrial engineering environments.
  • Expertise in production planning, resource management, process optimization, and operational performance improvement.
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills with experience leading teams.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading engineering projects, change management initiatives, and cross-functional improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and working within global manufacturing or high-volume production environments.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, production KPIs, quality management, and process control principles.
