About the role
The role sits within Mahindra's Electrical & Electronics function supporting automotive infotainment, cluster, connectivity and AR-HUD systems. The work covers Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Alexa certification from OEM through product launch, including the full Android XTS (CTS, VTS) test cycle and CarPlay testing. This Lead Engineer position owns test case writing, test monitoring and reporting, defect tracking, and interaction with third-party partners, Apple and Google on requirements clarifications and waivers.
What you will do
- Responsible for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay/Alexa Certification from OEM to Launch of Product.
- Shall able to understand the system requirement for Infotainment / Cluster/ Connectivity / Apps/AR-HUD and Write the Test case for testing.
- Responsible for Full Test Cycle for Android XTS (CTS,VTS) , Android Auto Testing and CarPlay Testing
- Fully Understanding on the MFi Apple CarPlay, Alexa and Google Android Auto Portals
- Responsible on analyzing the New Requirements of Android Auto/ CarPlay Latest Spec to understand the Hardware and Software changes in the System.
- Test monitoring and reporting, defect tracking and supportive functions
- Interaction with 3PL, Apple, Google on the Requirements Clarifications.
- Responsible on the Waiver and Exception creation and submission to Apple/Google.
Skills used in this role

- 6 - 10 years of experience
- BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Instrumentation
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Ability to Lead the Testing team and modules.
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Flexible and ability to perform multi tasking.
- Ability to Lead the Certification testing team for Pre-Certification testing
Preferred qualifications
- Preferably Automotive and Tier 1 who supplies Infotainment system
