About the role
The role sits within Mahindra Group's automotive engineering organization and focuses on the design and development of vehicle interior or exterior trims. It involves creating concept proposals, engineering drawings, 3D annotations, and parametric models for complex parts and sub-assemblies. The Lead Engineer will generate and evaluate design alternatives, interpret benchmark information, and define master sections based on vehicle architecture and strength requirements.
What you will do
- Experience in Design & Development of Vehicle Interior or Exterior Trims & Worked on Technology Projects
- Knowledge on Latest technology emerging in Automotive Industry
- Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and the ability to create concepet proposals, Engineering Drawings / 3D Annotations of the components/Systems
- Demonstrates ability to gather information for generating concepts. Generates and analyses multiple concepts /proposals to select the most optimum design
- Proven problem solving with First principles thinking and strong communication skills
- Creates parametric models for complex parts/ sub-assemblies by incorporating the right dimensions
- Decides parameters for gathering relevant information at a subsystem level. Interprets benchmark information to generate proposals for part/assembly
- Generates multiple alternatives of Master sections based on Vehicle Architecture, benchmarking, strength requirements and other system constraints
