About the role

The Editorial and Production hub sits within People Operations (POps) Content and Knowledge (C+K) and owns the source of truth for Google's global workforce content, acting as the translation and quality layer between complex, localized HR policies and both employees and the human and AI support agents who assist them. The team applies a data-driven approach to HR programs and knowledge content. This role authors style guides and SOP templates, owns editorial quality rubrics, QA sampling and calibration workflows for vendor writers, and works with process owners and the Platform Strategy team on CMS taxonomy and downstream AI retrieval.

What you will do

  • Author operational style guides, structured standard operating procedure templates, canned response guidelines, and scan-and-act content standards.
  • Own the editorial quality rubrics, Quality Audit (QA) sampling gauntlets, and calibration workflows for vendor writers executing updates across the People Operations (POps) knowledge content corpus.
  • Partner with process owners to identify redundant, outdated, and trivial (ROT) documentation, establishing data-driven criteria for content retirement and consolidation.
  • Lead arbitration and editorial reviews with Global Process Owners (GPOs), Compliance, and Service Delivery leads to resolve conflicting procedural guidance.
  • Partner with the Platform Strategy team to ensure content structures align with Content Management System (CMS) taxonomy schemas, and downstream AI retrieval systems.
