About the role

This Bangalore-based backend engineering role sits within application development, building scalable Java/Spring Boot services and REST APIs backed by SQL and NoSQL databases. The Senior Software Engineer I will own design artifacts (HLD/LLD), code quality and reviews, and delivery of features through production deployment and stabilization in an Agile setup.
What you will do
- Design and develop key application features and technical components, ensuring scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
- Creation of HLD/LLD and reviews at agreed points throughout the project life cycle and conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards, secure coding practices, and engineering best practices.
- Work closely with client/application teams, architects, Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, dependencies, and technical constraints.
- Hands on design and development of technical artifacts
- Participate in technical reviews, define/Improve processes on configuration management, deployment and resiliency planning for the application.
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability for assigned deliverables from requirement analysis through production deployment and stabilization.

- Proficiency in Core Java with java17 and java21, JakrtaEE, Spring, Spring boot, Spring Data, REST APIs, Spring MVC, Maven, Junit5.
- Knowledge in Quarkus and Reactive programming is advantage.
- Strong technical development experience on effectively writing code, code reviews, best practices on configuration management and code refactoring.
- Proficiency in SQL, MongoDB or any nosql databases.
- Hands-on experience working with Linux platform and Jenkins Pipelines.
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Design Patterns, Data Structures and Algorithms
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience in Agile development techniques like Scrum and Test Driven development
- Exposure to Git, maven, sonar and JIRA desirable
- Having knowledge about docker, Kubernetes will be plus
- Excellent Communication and Inter-personal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
