About the role
IBM Consulting works with leading companies across industries to shape their hybrid cloud and AI journeys, supported by IBM technology, strategic partners, and Red Hat. The role is an Infrastructure Specialist for Cloud Platforms, focused on managing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple cloud environments. The specialist will collaborate with IT teams to set up, secure, monitor, and optimize scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure.
What you will do
- Set Up and Configure Cloud Infrastructure: Set up, configure, and manage virtual machines, storage solutions, networking, and databases across different cloud platforms to effectively support business applications.
- Implement and Oversee Cloud Resources: Implement and oversee essential cloud resources such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Load Balancers, and Cloud Storage solutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor and Troubleshoot Infrastructure: Continuously monitor infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations to ensure reliable performance.
- Apply Security Measures: Apply and enforce security measures to ensure cloud infrastructure complies with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Optimize Cloud Costs: Optimize cloud costs by right-sizing resources, developing cost-effective solutions, and monitoring usage patterns.
