About the role
The Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team at JPMorganChase delivers infrastructure solutions, with this role sitting within the infrastructure engineering discipline. The engineer develops knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes and begins to apply proficiency in a single application or technical methodology. Day-to-day work covers testing infrastructure performance, analyzing monitoring data, using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for analysis and documentation, and escalating issues to leadership.
What you will do
- Applies technical knowledge to assignments with a defined scope, including testing infrastructure performance, verifying requirements were met, and collecting and analyzing monitoring data in test and production through completion
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate infrastructure analysis and documentation (e.g., summarizing monitoring findings), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
- Carries out day to day work assignments with some guidance and within documented parameters, developing considerations for upstream and downstream data and systems or technical implications
- Escalates issues to appropriate leadership
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Proficient knowledge of hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
- Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- Experience with any of high-level programing language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, shell scripting etc.
- Experience with Agile and full software development life cycle.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline and testing framework.
- Experience with Public Cloud offering related to compute, storage, networking, messaging, automation (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.)
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with system administration in Linux and/or Windows platforms
- Experience supporting End-User issues via ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira)
