About the role

Angel One is a fintech platform serving over 3.7 crore customers across investing, trading, wealth creation, and credit. The procurement and vendor governance team is responsible for developing procurement strategies, optimizing costs, strengthening vendor governance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving procurement excellence across technology, operations, facilities, marketing, and corporate services. This role will own enterprise procurement, third-party risk oversight, and procurement transformation, including spend governance, value creation, regulatory readiness, and procurement technology enablement.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement organization-wide procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish procurement policies, SOPs, governance frameworks, and approval matrices.
  • Lead annual procurement planning and budget optimization initiatives.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives to maximize cost efficiencies and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead the transformation of procurement from a decentralized operating model to a centralized, category-led and technology-enabled procurement organization.
  • Manage end-to-end sourcing lifecycle including RFI, RFQ, RFP, negotiations, contracting, and onboarding.
  • Lead procurement and create category specific sourcing strategy: Technology & IT infrastructure Software licenses and SaaS platforms Cloud services Data subscriptions Market data vendors Facility management Marketing & branding services Professional and consulting services Administration and workplace services
  • Build and maintain strategic vendor relationships.
  • Conduct periodic vendor evaluations and performance reviews
  • Drive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) optimization
  • Lead commercial discussions with key suppliers and service providers.
  • Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation initiatives.
  • Negotiate pricing, SLAs, payment terms, penalties, and contract conditions.
  • Implement competitive bidding processes and benchmark procurement costs.
  • Review and manage procurement contracts in coordination with Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Ensure adherence to risk management policies and internal controls.
  • Monitor vendor risks related to cybersecurity, data privacy, business continuity, and operational resilience.
  • Create enterprise contract repository.
  • Track commercial obligations, renewals, auto-renewal clauses and key milestones.
  • Standardize commercial terms and contracting playbooks.
  • Ensure procurement processes comply with applicable regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
  • Implement robust procurement governance and documentation standards.
  • Monitor adherence to delegation of authority (DOA) and approval workflows.
  • Partner with Technology, Finance, Compliance, Operations, HR, Administration, Marketing, and Business Heads.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for procurement-related decisions.
  • Build high levels of stakeholder satisfaction while ensuring commercial discipline.
  • Lead implementation of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platforms, workflow automation, vendor portals, contract lifecycle management solutions and procurement analytics tools to improve governance, transparency and efficiency
  • Implement procurement analytics & MIS, dashboards, and management reporting.
  • Establish procurement KPIs and vendor scorecards.
  • Improve procurement cycle times and supplier performance metrics.

What the employer is looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • MBA / PGDM preferred.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, CSCP, or Supply Chain certifications will be an added advantage.
