About the role
Transaction Banking (TxB) provides cash management and payment solutions, and its Cloud Platform Engineering team engineers public cloud solutions for the Payment Orchestration and Execution Platform. The team identifies and secures public cloud services, automates provisioning, and builds resilient, scalable infrastructure. This role will define cloud engineering best practices and automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
What you will do
- Help to define, communicate and promote cloud engineering best practices for public cloud application deployment across the department.
- Automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure using Terraform.

- Experience supporting complex production application environments.
- 7+ years’ experience working with cloud services in multi-region deployments.
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, deployment, and configuration management tools in a DevOps environment.
- Experience meeting demands for high availability and scale.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively, both written and orally, as well as the interpersonal skills required to collaborate effectively with colleagues across diverse technology teams.
- Ability to rapidly and effectively understand and translate requirements into technical solutions.
Preferred qualifications
- Team Lead experience managing teams of 10 or more engineers while retaining hands-on expertise with a diverse set of cloud services.
- Experience working in a Linux environment, including system engineering, high availability design, performance analysis, network troubleshooting.
- Hands on experience in Amazon web services, such as Cloudwatch, EC2, ECS, IAM and KMS.
- Hands on experience with API Gateways (Kong) and messaging (Kafka).
- Hands on experience with RDS Aurora or DynamoDB.
- Experience using infrastructure as code (Terraform).
- Experience using CICD (preferably Gitlab)
