About the role
The role sits in Siemens Energy's global Service Engineering digitalization team supporting the large steam and gas turbine business, which provides maintenance, digital services, modernization and control/digitalization solutions to power utilities, IPPs, EPC firms, and industrial clients. The team builds fleet monitoring and service-response tools and data platforms covering maintenance records, outage reports, and sensor data. This engineer designs and scales data- and AI-driven solutions end to end, including Snowflake pipelines and models, GenAI agents and RAG-based document analysis, workflow automation, and technical leadership alongside the Product Owner.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain digital solutions for Service Engineering, including fleet monitoring and analysis tools such as the Fleet Monitoring Tool, Service Response Intelligence (SRI), SEDOP, and Snowflake-based solutions and agents.
- Build and maintain data pipelines, data models, and analytics in Snowflake and relational databases (Oracle / SQL), integrating sources such as maintenance and service records (PCM), outage reports, and sensor data.
- Develop AI and GenAI solutions – agents, knowledge search / RAG, and LLM-based document and report analysis – using platforms such as Snowflake (Cortex), Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Azure OpenAI.
- Automate engineering workflows using Python, Excel / VBA, and Power Automate.
- Translate engineering requirements into technical designs and act as technical lead alongside the Product Owner, contributing to backlog refinement, estimation, and delivery planning.
- Drive data quality, governance, and data-access topics together with data owners and IT, ensuring solutions are secure, compliant, and maintainable.
