About the role
The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is a leading hospitality group that combines the warmth of Indian service with global standards of excellence, with iconic brands such as Taj, SeleQtions, Gateway, Vivanta, Ginger, Tree of Life, and amã Stays & Trails. This is a full-time, on-site Food and Beverage Server role based in Mumbai within a premium hospitality environment. The role involves welcoming guests, presenting menus, taking accurate orders, serving food and beverages, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, and delivering a refined and hospitable dining experience in line with IHCL brand standards.
What you will do
- welcome guests, present menus, provide detailed information on food and beverage offerings, and take accurate orders while ensuring a refined and hospitable dining experience
- serving food and beverages, setting up and clearing tables, coordinating with kitchen and bar teams, and following established service standards and hygiene protocols
- handle guest queries and concerns, process billing and payments, and support special events or banquets as required
- adherence to IHCL brand standards, a focus on guest satisfaction, and effective collaboration with team members and supervisors

- Candidates should have foundational knowledge of Food & Beverage, including menu items, dietary considerations, and basic pairing recommendations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Knowledge of basic POS and billing systems, and adherence to hygiene, safety, and grooming standards.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in restaurant, hotel, or banquet service is preferred, especially in premium or luxury hospitality environments.
- A hospitality-related diploma or certification is an advantage; fluency in English and local languages is beneficial.
