About the role
American Express Banking Corp. (AEBC) India is a banking entity regulated by the Reserve Bank of India that carries out the India Card business. This position sits within the 20-member AEBC India Controllership team and reports into a Financial Analyst for controllership functions. The role supports RBI regulatory returns and statements, daily and month-end accounting entries, inputs for RBI inspection and Statutory Audit, and variance analysis and business commentaries for governance committees and senior management.
What you will do
- Preparation of returns and statements filed with RBI in accordance with the RBI guidelines.
- Perform daily and month end accounting entries ensuring compliance to relevant RBI reporting and India GAAP accounting rules.
- Preparation of inputs required for RBI inspection and Statutory Audit.
- Variance analysis and business commentaries for the AEBC Governance Committees and Senior Management.
- Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly submissions to External & Regulatory Reporting

- The minimum qualification required is graduation in commerce with 1-2 years of relevant experience. An MBA, post graduate, CA (Inter) would be given preference
