About the role
Zeta is seeking a detail-oriented Reconciliation Specialist to manage and ensure accurate reconciliation of prepaid wallet transactions. The role sits within banking operations, tracking, reviewing, and resolving discrepancies in transactions while working closely with internal and external teams on smooth operations and compliance with industry standards. Work includes regulatory reporting, chargeback and dispute handling, control checks, and improving daily reconciliation processes.
What you will do
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of prepaid wallet transactions including credits, debits, and cashback.
- Review transaction reports and statements to identify discrepancies between internal systems and external bank/partner statements.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies by coordinating with relevant teams (Operations, IT, and partners).
- Ensure that all reconciliations are completed in a timely manner and meet compliance and audit requirements.
- Monitor prepaid wallet balances and ensure accuracy in records and reports.
- Collaborate with technical teams to improve reconciliation processes and system performance.
- Manage and reconcile chargebacks, refunds, and failed transactions.
- Prepare reports on reconciliation status and escalate unresolved issues as needed.
- Prepare Monthly & Quarterly Regulatory Reports with accuracy & ensure submission within defined timeline.
- Monitor daily control checks and review any observations.
- Assist in the development and improvement of daily processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage customer disputes and all the subsequent dispute lifecycle journey.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Candidate should have strong knowledge in Excel (Advance Excel will be preferable)
- Experience working in the Bank, NBFC, Fintech or Digital Payments Industry.
- Knowledge of Banking Operations, Payment Systems, Fast / Digital Payments, or Wallet.
