About the role
Qualcomm's Engineering Group, within Software Engineering, builds software for Qualcomm chips and platforms. This role leads and drives a Linux-based IoT software program on Qualcomm chipsets, spanning embedded systems, Linux kernel and drivers, and the full software development life cycle. It involves driving engineering features and deliverables with large cross-functional distributed teams and interfacing with customers and business teams on requirements and commercialization support.
What you will do
- Lead and drive software program on Qualcomm chips for Linux based IOT projects
- Strong engineering experience, hands on development, debugging with end-to-end software life cycle experience
- Strong embedded systems background, C/C++ coding experience, HW chipset and HW platform experience from software
- Experience with Linux software stack, drivers, frameworks across different tech areas building to an end-to-end software product
- Ability to work with large cross functional and distributed teams, drive engineering features and deliverables leading to an end-to-end software product
- Interface engineering with customers, business teams from requirements and commercialization support
- Strong front ending skills for the program and teams

- Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 15+ Years of experience
- Strong development experience with C/C++ and good programming skills.
- Strong communication skills and analytics skills
- Strong understanding of Linux kernel and internals.
- Strong understanding of SOC systems and related concepts, including bring-up.
- Strong hands-on experience with full software development life cycle including design, implementation, deployment and support.
- Strong aptitude, quick learner, self-motivated, willing to explore and work across breadth of various technology areas.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
