About the role
This is an Engineer-Electrical position covering electrical maintenance of Caster, Tunnel Furnace and Rolling mill equipment in a plant environment. The role requires hands-on work with Siemens and ABB drives, HT and LT electrical systems, HVAC and electrical power and control systems. The engineer will plan and execute day-to-day and preventive maintenance, provide technical guidance to supervisors, foremen and technicians, and maintain documentation, spares and safety procedures.
What you will do
- Offer technical expertise to maintenance people like supervisor, foreman, fitters and technicians.
- Strategize on maintenance, work instruction and methods.
- Create plant preventative maintenance procedures
- Plan routine maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
- Schedule and obtain project material and manpower.
- Check work-in-progress and during completion to meet specifications.
- Documentation and preparation of daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
- Responsible for spare management for machines to reduce breakdown time

What the employer is looking for
- Should have experience in executing maintenance activities in Caster, Tunnel Furnace, Rolling mill.You should have minimum 5 years’ experience preferably in Caster, Tunnel Furnace, Rolling mill with bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Electronic engineering or Diploma in electrical with 6-8 years of experience .
- Experience in maintenance & handling shift activities of electrical systems of Caster, Tunnel Furnace, Rolling mill • Good knowledge of Electrical Power & Control system.
- Hands on experience of Siemens make drives viz. S120, G120 & ABB VFD like ACS 580, 800, 850
- Good in trouble shooting and break down analysis skills in electrical systems of HT & LT systems, HVAC system.
- Expertise in organizing, planning & coordination of day-to-day maintenance activities & Handling shift activities.
- Complete know how of Safety systems & should be familiar with safety procedures while executing electrical work
- Good in Coordination and Communication, keeping good relationship with Team members and Client
- Should be familiar with Report preparation, PPT & Excel.
- Shall be able to join within One month from the date of Offer.
- Shall have the Supervisory license for HT/LT systems.
- Person have hands on experience on ABB drives most preferred.
