About the role
The Qualcomm team works on advancing state-of-the-art machine learning, using Qualcomm chips' heterogeneous computing capabilities to enable inference of trained neural networks on-device without a need for connection to the cloud. Its Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine (SNPE) SDK lets developers run neural network models trained in a variety of frameworks on Snapdragon platforms at high speed with minimal power. This role covers the development and commercialization of ML solutions like the SNPE SDK on Qualcomm SoCs, building SW features in the ML stack and enabling AI/ML solutions across platforms.
What you will do
- In this position, you will be responsible for the development and commercialization of ML solutions like Snapdragon Neural Processing Engine (SNPE) SDK on Qualcomm SoCs. You will be developing various SW features in our ML stack. You will be enabling AI/ML solutions to various platforms. You will have expert knowledge in deployment aspects of large software C/C++ dependency stacks using best practices. You will also have to keep up with the fast-paced development happening in the industry and academia to continuously enhance our solution from software engineering as well as machine learning standpoint.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
- 3-7 years of relevant work experience in software development.
- Live and breathe quality software development with excellent analytical and debugging skills.
- Strong understanding about Processor architecture, system design fundamentals.
- Experience with embedded systems development or equivalent.
- Strong development skills in C and C++.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, presentation, written).
- Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and multiple interests.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in embedded system development.
- Experience in C, C++, OOPS and Design patterns.
- Experience in Linux kernel or driver development is a plus.
- Strong OS concepts.
