About the role
Tata Elxsi is seeking an Embedded Firmware Technical Lead / SME to provide technical leadership across embedded software/firmware architecture, design, development, debugging, verification, and product lifecycle engineering. The role involves firmware architecture including BSP, device drivers, HAL, RTOS, middleware, communication stacks, diagnostics, and interfaces with hardware, sensors, actuators, application software, and cloud/connectivity components. The position is based in Pune or Trivandrum and emphasizes medical devices, safety-critical systems, and regulated product-development environments.
What you will do
- Lead embedded firmware architecture, design, development and technical reviews.
- Develop and review firmware architecture including: BSP, Device drivers, HAL, RTOS, Middleware, Communication stack & Diagnostics
- Define firmware interfaces with hardware, sensors, actuators, application software and cloud/connectivity components.
- Hands-on understanding of embedded C/C++ development and debugging.
- Lead complex firmware debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Review source code, design documentation, interfaces, and technical implementation.
- Support legacy firmware understanding, reverse engineering, modernization and platform migration.
