About the role
The project involves designing and developing core firmware for a new generation of embedded controllers for HVAC products, delivering highly reliable real-time software on microcontrollers. The firmware covers low-level drivers, temperature and energy management control algorithms, and communication stacks, acting as the interface between hardware such as sensors, motors and compressors and higher-level system logic. This role defines and drives scalable embedded software architecture across MCU/SoC platforms, RTOS and hardware abstraction layers, and also establishes CI/CD pipelines and evaluates emerging technologies for embedded platform engineering.
What you will do
- This project involves the design and development of the core firmware for a new generation of embedded controllers for HVAC products.
- The Senior Embedded Developer will be responsible for creating highly reliable, real-time software running on microcontrollers.
- This includes writing low-level drivers, implementing sophisticated control algorithms for temperature and energy management, and developing robust communication stacks.
- The firmware will be the primary interface between the physical hardware (sensors, motors, compressors) and the system's higher-level logic.
- The role requires a deep understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) or bare-metal development to ensure precise timing, system stability, and safety compliance.
- Define end-to-end embedded software architecture (drivers, middleware, application layers).Design scalable solutions across MCU/SoC platforms, RTOS, and hardware abstraction layers.
- Assess emerging technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms) with a focus on improving embedded platform engineering and automation.
- Architect systems for high performance, low latency, and efficient resource usage.
- Translate business and system requirements into technical architecture.
- Facilitate architecture discussions and design reviews across teams.
- Drive innovative initiatives and proof-of-concepts (POCs).
- Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and connectivity solutions.
- Establish and improve CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems.
