About the role
The role sits within Mahindra's FD-Engine CDMM team and is responsible for the development and management of Engine Proprietary components such as radiator assembly, air cleaner, fuel cooler, oil cooler and exhaust systems. It covers manufacturing feasibility, supplier quotation and development, PPAP certification, cost reduction, alternate sourcing and field complaint resolution. The incumbent collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver new projects and product improvements on time.
What you will do
- Manufacturing feasibility for new release part w.r.t. SOR/SOW, new release drawing & finalizing / establishing the Engine Prop.Air Cooling, Fuel Cooler and Exhaust System components to get the required results.
- Get the quotation from suppliers after finalizing the process.
- Develop the component and get the process certified through PPAP from SQA.
- Oversee and manage the development of Engine Prop.Air Cooling, Fuel Cooler and Exhaust System components ensuring alignment with Mahindra's Development system and timeline standards.
- Lead product improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, additional and alternate sourcing activities.
- Address field complaints and implement capacity enhancement solutions for Engine Prop.Air Cooling, Fuel Cooler and Exhaust System Components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and timely delivery.

- Manufacturing & Quality : Knowledge of STA functions for feasibility assessments, process controls, FTG finalization, production trials, VPPAP, and project monitoring.
- Cost Estimation : Proficiency in cost drivers, cost estimation for parts and tooling and manufacturing processes.
- Project Management : Competence in project planning, time management, and execution.
- Technical Tools : Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI)
- Quality Systems : Understanding of APQP, VPPAP, and other relevant quality systems.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with tractor or automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
- Candidates with experience from automobile OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers (not direct suppliers to M&M).
