About the role
Schneider Electric is seeking a Business Development Manager – Protection Relays to drive growth across Utilities, Industries, Infrastructure, EPCs and Consultants. The role focuses on Protection Relays and Power System Protection solutions, including numerical relays, feeder/transformer/motor protection and substation automation. It involves building customer and consultant relationships, influencing specifications, and developing a strong sales pipeline.
What you will do
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Protection Relays and associated protection solutions.
- Engage with Utilities, Industrial customers, EPCs, Consultants, Panel Builders and System Integrators to generate and develop opportunities.
- Build relationships with key customers, consultants and technical decision-makers.
- Support product specification and positioning of protection solutions in customer projects.
- Work closely with Sales, Application, Tendering and Marketing teams to convert opportunities into orders.
- Conduct customer presentations, technical discussions, seminars and product promotion activities.
- Track competitor activities, market developments and customer requirements.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and support achievement of business growth targets.

Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Application Sales or Technical Sales.
- Experience in Protection Relays, Power System Protection, Substation Automation or Electrical Distribution preferred.
- Knowledge of Numerical Relays, Protection Applications and IEC 61850 will be an advantage.
- Strong customer engagement, communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate them into business opportunities.
