About the role
The team focuses on quality assurance and testing for FSA applications spanning desktop, web, cloud-connected, and integrated system environments, with a DevOps CI/CD emphasis. The role covers functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing, API and data validation, and cloud adaptation and migration verification. The engineer will build and maintain automated test suites, embed automated testing and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and DevOps teams on release readiness and defect resolution.
What you will do
- Validate FSA application functionality across desktop, web, cloud-connected, and integrated system environments.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing for new features, bug fixes, and modernization initiatives.
- Verify cloud adaptation and migration activities, ensuring application behavior remains stable during platform transitions and framework upgrades.
- Perform API testing, integration testing, and data validation across interconnected systems.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites to improve release quality and reduce manual verification efforts.
- Support CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated testing and quality gates into deployment workflows.
- Contribute to quality improvements through risk analysis, test strategy refinement, and continuous process optimization.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure early defect detection and faster resolution.
- Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and release readiness activities.
- Track, report, and manage defects through their lifecycle while ensuring proper root-cause analysis and validation of fixes.
- Support customer validation, release verification, and production issue investigations when required.
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or related engineering discipline
- 4 to 6 years of proven experience in software testing of desktop, web, or enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman or similar solutions
- Good knowledge of SQL and database validation techniques
- Experience working with defect management and Agile project management tools
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality validation within automated release processes
- Experience with Git-based development workflows
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interpret logs, identify root causes, and collaborate effectively with development teams
Preferred qualifications
- Experience validating cloud-hosted applications and cloud migration initiatives
- Knowledge of performance, security, and reliability testing concepts
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SonarQube, and automated quality gates
- Experience in API automation testing
- Exposure to desktop applications developed using .NET technologies
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Robot Framework
- Experience with hardware-integrated or automotive diagnostic applications
- Understanding of software compliance, vulnerability validation, and release certification activities
- Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools and Copilot-assisted test design
