About the role
Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric India, provides low-voltage switchgear, medium-voltage switchgear, automation solutions, software, and services across homes, agriculture, buildings, infrastructure, and industry. The R&D laboratory role in Ahmednagar covers scheduling tests, maintaining laboratory KPIs and accreditation, interpreting standards, creating test procedures and reports, and preparing for audits such as NABL, BIS, DEKRA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SNI, and TSE.
What you will do
- Scheduling & assigning tests to technicians and getting it done.
- Maintaining and improving KPI’s (Response time, output, etc.,) of the laboratory continuously.
- Interpretation of various international/national standards and upgradation/addition of test setups in line with amendments in standards
- Creating test procedures, test reports, new test methods for non-standard tests and decision sheets.
- Maintaining accreditation of the laboratory and continuously following the laboratory operating procedure as defined by IECEE.
- Preparing the laboratory for external/internal audits like NABL, BIS, DEKRA, ISO 14001 & 45001, SNI, TSE, etc., and complying with the requirements.
- Creating a safe working environment and continuously improving by introducing new processes and working practices.
- Good understanding of products & their application so as to simulate functional tests, type tests and contribute during the product development stage.
