About the role
The role sits within Mahindra's Two Wheeler Business and supports business case preparation and material cost monitoring and tracking. It covers electrical and electronics commodities such as headlamps, tail lamps, wiring harnesses, display devices, BLDC hub motors, and ECUs. The Deputy Manager evaluates material cost at system/part level from business case to SOP, supports should-be costing, cost benchmarking, and design-led cost reduction.
What you will do
- Support Business case preparation, Monitoring & tracking for Material Cost of Two Wheeler Business.
- Share part/ system wise material cost with PCL for Headlamp, TailLamp, Wiring Harness, Display Devices, BLDC Hub Motor, ECU etc.
- Evaluating Material Cost at System/Part level at different stage of Development of Product from Business case to SOP
- Keep track on timely feasibility comments on SOR basis business case targets
- Support CDMM team to prepare optimised TSO (Technical Signoff)
- Support SSU and PCL on timely SBC (Should be Cost)
- Timely communication of ROCM SBC to SSU and PCL
- Support Internal systems to facilitate necessary cost approvals due to all change events wrt Cost
- Closely work with CFT to get desired cost inputs and First time right SBC.
- Provide visibility on overall material cost and raise necessary risk alarms along with mitigation measures
- Should Be costing for Two Wheeler Proprietory Automotive Components
- Technical Knowhow of various manufacturing process, its cost drivers & ability to optimize the cost through various alternative & optimized process.
- Identify the areas of cost reduction through design iteration & assist design to achieve the cost targets.
- Cost benchmarking of the Internal & external vehicles.
- Support for Presentation of Delta Cost change in Project Lifecycle.
