About the role
Royal Enfield's Genuine Motorcycle Accessories (GMA) procurement function manages end-to-end purchasing, inventory control, vendor management and logistics across plants, retail channels and export markets. The role sits between supply chain execution and data analytics, using SAP MM and Power BI to monitor supplier QDC metrics, OTIF fulfillment, import clearance and VAVE cost savings. This Deputy Manager position covers purchasing schedules, vendor SLA performance, dashboards, multichannel logistics and sourcing support.
What you will do
- Schedule & Inventory Management: Generate and release purchasing schedules via SAP MM aligned with sales forecasts; maintain stock within defined inventory and safety stock policies to hit OTIF targets and 99% first-pick availability.
- Vendor & SLA Performance: Monitor vendor Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC) metrics; resolve supply or invoicing bottlenecks, negotiate payment terms, and drive initial production ramp-up plans with domestic and import suppliers.
- Data Analytics & Dashboarding: Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards to track procurement KPIs, sales vs. forecast fluctuations, inventory norms, and vendor rating metrics.
- Logistics & Multichannel Supply: Coordinate logistics requirements across distribution networks, direct-ship export markets, factory/store-fitted MiY customization programs, and plant laddering demands.
- Sourcing & VAVE Support: Support alternate sourcing execution, import vendor logistics and customs clearance, and lead post-launch Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) cost-reduction initiatives after 3 months of production.
