About the role
Akamai's Data Engineering team democratizes data across the company to promote a data-driven culture by combining practices, architectural techniques, and tools for ingesting, transforming, combining, and consuming data. This Data Engineer II role involves end-to-end development, business requirements analysis, and analytical support. The engineer will build and automate data pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator, MuleSoft, and Golden Gate.
What you will do
- Creating, managing, and automating data pipelines using Oracle Data Integrator, Mulesoft, Golden Gate and related technologies.
- Defining requirements for new implementation needs and to influence the new designs and standards
- Providing technical expertise and creating automation solutions to complex and interwoven sets of problems
- Identifying process improvement opportunities, gaining support for changes, and leading implementation collaboratively with our teams
Skills used in this role
What the employer is looking for
- Have 3 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's / Master’s degree
- Sound knowledge of SQL (expert) and PL/SQL (intermediate)
- Possess hands on experience in data integrations and ETL Mapping, predominantly in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- Have experience and knowledge of Databases, Database internals, data modeling and modern integration architectures
- Be able to design and implement solutions using a scripting language such as Python, bash shell scripting.
- Be self-motivated, highly responsible and have good communication skills
