About the role
Google's Trust & Safety team identifies and takes on the biggest problems challenging the safety and integrity of Google products, partnering with teams across the company to deliver solutions against abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. The team is made up of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers and Program Managers who work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google's products, protecting users, advertisers and publishers in over 40 languages. This Data Analyst, Risk role analyzes complex problems with data and statistical methods, identifies and prevents fraud and abuse, and improves tools and automated systems through data analysis and stakeholder presentations.
What you will do
- Analyze and solve complex problems using data and statistical methods.
- Identify and prevent fraud and abuse.
- Improve tools and automated systems through data analysis, technical expertise, and present to stakeholders.
Skills used in this role
Preferred qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
- 2 years of experience or familiarity with one or more of the following languages: SQL, R, Python, or C++.
- 2 years of experience or familiarity with machine learning systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
