About the role

This is a full-time, on-site Credit Manager role based in Panipat, focused on credit evaluation, portfolio monitoring, and credit risk controls for retail and business customers. The role collaborates with branch teams, risk, and operations to structure deals, prepare credit reports, and ensure adherence to internal credit policies and RBI guidelines.

- The Credit Manager will evaluate credit applications, analyze financial statements, and assess creditworthiness for retail and business customers.
- Responsibilities include setting and reviewing credit limits, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
- The role involves collaborating with branch teams, risk, and operations to structure deals, resolve queries, and support timely decision-making.
- The Credit Manager will also prepare credit reports, recommend approvals or rejections, and contribute to continuous improvement in credit processes and risk controls.

- Strong expertise in Credit Management and Credit, including assessment of borrowers and structuring of credit proposals.
- Proficiency in Credit Risk Management, with the ability to identify, measure, and mitigate credit-related risks.
- Robust Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge to interpret financial statements, cash flows, and market information.
- Sound understanding of banking products, regulatory norms, and RBI guidelines related to lending and credit.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CFA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
- Attention to detail, strong judgment, and ability to make timely, data-driven decisions.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in credit underwriting or credit risk within banking or financial services is preferred.
